Blue Mountains

Sophie here!

Around the same time last year, I went on a Young Adults Group camp with a few of my friends, we had around 20 people. We all left as a group; carpooling each other, we left around 5pm in the afternoon to travel to Katoomba. After we reached our accommodation, we dropped off our luggage in our given cabin rooms, then we gave ourselves time to rest and get ready for the big hike the next day.

After a night's rest we woke up nice and early; around 7am in the morning, finished our breakfast, got our essential hiking gear and started walking up to the ThreeSisters location.
Our accommodation was walkable distance from the Three Sisters. The short walk to the location gave us time to strengthen our stamina and stretch our leg muscles, it basically allowed us to warm up for the official hike walk.

Once we reached the location we just chilled for a bit and got ready to start the hike.
We all took restroom breaks, then we began our hike.
The views of the grand Three Sisters were breathtaking, rising nearly a kilometre above sea level.
We enter the hiking grounds through the archway, next to the Echo Point Visitor Centre. The area is surrounded by a soaring eucalypt forest, bird calls and fresh mountain air. We took the hike lightly and walked at a good pace while talking to each other casually. After reaching the endpoint we took a good water and stretch break for half an hour and began to walk back to the top; the entrance of the Three Sisters location.

The Hike was challenging as it had many slopes and steep stepping areas, so taking large hydration breaks and stretches is recommended.

I would definitely recommend the hike as it was a new experience and it is also an unforgettable one!
