Country Side

Hello again!

I will be sharing another one of my outdoor adventure stories with you guys today.

A few years ago, me and my family decided to go on a short road trip with three other close family friends. As you would have noticed by now my family and I; we are very active and we love to go on trips, whether it is travelling to another country by flight or just going out for a simple drive, we are always up for a little bit of exploration and sightseeing.

For this short road trip, we decided to go to a lovely place called Wyee. Wyee is a small town in the Lake Macquarie region of New South Wales, Australia, in the City of Lake Macquarie.

The place is known for their friendly country atmosphere, fishing, boats, lakes, farming and local sights.

We booked a few small rooms at a campsite called Bethshan, for 3 days and 2 nights. Our main goals for this trip was to simply, explore, relax, enjoy the views, go fishing and visit the local attractions of Wyee.

On our first day we planned to go out, take a drive downtown, see what the local area had to offer. During this small drive we stopped whenever we saw a look out point and just took in the beauty of the country side through our eyes.

On our second day we decided to go fishing, we found this beautiful area near a small bridge, which has been specially designed wharfs. Before we started fishing we had to obtain a fishing license from the local registration office. When we got all our gear ready, we began fishing.

The third day, our final day, we drove out to the fields, green pastures and farms of Wyee. After driving, we parked and decided to take a nice long walk through the countryside, we saw the green, lush, grassy plains of the area. With the cool breeze flowing through our hair, we constantly kept walking, even though it was a long walk, no-one felt tired instead we enjoyed the view and each other’s company. The walk allowed us to relax, stretch our leg muscles, and relax ourselves. 

It was the most unforgettable trip, enjoying the company of close family and friends, casually chatting, memories of catching fish, taking long peaceful walks and watching the sunset, while the day ended in laughter.

If you want to go on a short trip I recommend visiting Wyee and its beautiful countryside!
