Camping
Hi
again, Sophie here!
So
recently I went on a short Family Camp with my Family and close Family Friends.
Around
20 families attended the camp. As a large group we spent the long weekend at
Wesley Vision Valley Campsite located in Arcadia, New South Wales.
We
all stayed in cabins. Children, Parents and Couples stayed in separate cabins,
while Teens and Young Adults were split into small groups and given a cabin
room each (each group). Spending 2 nights, 1 day and a half, we had a range of
Indoor and Outdoor Activities to keep us entertained and occupied.
The
Outdoor Activities included swimming, waterslides, volleyball, badminton,
frisbee, tug of war, stargazing, walking and hiking.
The
most popular activity done by many during the camp was walking; just taking a
casual walk was one of my favourite activities during the camp. Taking a short.
comfortable, slow-paced walk; simply taking in the scenery and stepping out for
a nice breath of fresh air. I have always loved exploring the outdoors, so
taking this walk was super nice; it stretched my muscles, helped with body
circulation, relaxed, cleared my mind, helped me slow down and take in the
beauty of nature, it also allowed me to take my mind off work and the busy
lifestyle that I and nearly everyone experience.
It
is always great to go out occasionally, take in fresh air, wind down and relax.
Also view what nature offers.
I
really enjoyed participating in the activities available at camp, spending time
with family and friends. Taking a relaxing walk really helped with refreshing
my mind and it finished off uni’s mid-semester break and long weekend in the
best way ever!
