Rhinefall waterfall in Schaffhausen, Switzerland
So where do I start, firstly Switzerland is
ideal for anybody that loves hiking or any other outdoor activity. This hike
takes about 2 hours in total, starting off on a very worn dirt track that
follows alongside the river towards the waterfalls. My companion on this hike
is Alex, who was born in Switzerland. As we progressed through this hike the
track became more narrow to the point where at some stages you had to balance
on fallen branches to cross the small gaps in the path in which the water would
flow from the forest into the river. We started at about 12pm and reached the
water falls close to 3pm along the way stopping for lunch and a swim. The track
is ideal for somebody wanting a slow but rewarding hike as it is flat but long
and isolated from any major towns until you reach the water falls.
